The Power of Interdisciplinary Instruction |
As Mae Jemison states, " The difference between science and the arts is not that they are different sides of the same coin, even, or even different parts of the same continuum, but rather, they're manifestations of the same thing" (2002). Empowering students across multiple disciplines allows them to learn content and pursue understandings in a means most comfortable to them. Storytelling and play are not inherently confined to one curriculum, but are instead processes we humans can utilize to understand our world, language, and collective past.
